CHRISTINA'S COMPANIONS - CLOCKS FROM THE FAMOUS VOYAGE

Each of the clocks on this page accompanied Christina the Clock on her famous and frightful voyage fifty years ago from Austria to the United States. These are all genuine and all original antique clocks made around 1880 - 1910 or thereabouts. Since they are antiques they will have their occasional nicks or scratches or warps, and they deserve to have a thorough cleaning and adjusting by a clock repairman, but they are all complete and working and even include an original winding crank for the spring wound clock (but may be missing the key to their cases).

All of the clocks range from 26" to 42" tall but most are in the 35" to 40" tall range. They are photographed hanging in the very workshop where all of the clocks from the famous and frightful voyage were unwrapped and cleaned - where they first saw the light of day after being wrapped up for fifty years.

All of the clocks are different, reflecting in many cases the hand work in small factories in Austria and Germany - many are decorated with animals or children or flowers, some are even signed by the maker, many were made by the famous Becker clock company.

The price per clock is $450. Please remember that each clock is unique and is subject to prior sale. Once a clock is sold we cannot provide an identical replacement, they are all different.

Packing and shipping is extra, contact us at info@mechantiques.com for a quote - give us the number of the clock you are interested in and your city and zip code.

We hope you will win one of Christina the Clock's companions in the free giveaway drawings. But if you don't, this is your chance to have one of her companions, and a fine antique at that. If you are looking for something larger or even more elaborate than the clocks on this page, then please visit the many other clocks we have from the same trip on our Vienna Clocks pages.
